Our story

We created kurybees to democratize access to durable and high-performance batteries.
Our belief is clear: the energy transition can only succeed if batteries become more reliable, transparent, and accessible.

Today, every stakeholder—industrial players, integrators, or manufacturers—needs competitive, high-performance, and durable batteries.
However, understanding, testing, and modeling these systems often remains complex, costly, and limited to a few large groups.
kurybees was created to make this expertise accessible to all: giving every company the means to design, test, simulate, and validate battery solutions with the same level of rigor as industry leaders.

The studio

kurybees is an independent R&D studio dedicated to battery modeling of battery performance and battery durability.
It is structured around four complementary pillars, working in synergy as a true integrated engineering ecosystem:

Laboratory

We conduct electrical, thermal, and battery aging tests on cells and modules, using state-of-the-art equipment: bidirectional power supplies, climate chambers, impedance analyzers, thermal property measurements, accelerated battery aging.

Our protocols ensure reliable, traceable, and exploitable results, serving as the basis for calibrating our models.

Our founder

Issam Baghdadi, electrochemist and PhD in battery modeling, is the founder and CEO of kurybees.
A passionate researcher, he has dedicated his career to multiphysics battery modeling and battery aging, from cell level to full system.

Before founding kurybees, he spent nearly ten years in the automotive industry within international groups (PSA-Stellantis, Renault), leading battery innovation projects and international technical management.

He is the author of 15 scientific publications, inventor of 7 international patents, and has supervised multiple PhD theses and research internships.

In 2022, he founded kurybees, an independent R&D studio to make battery data, battery modeling, and digital decision tools accessible to all.

His objective is to put science at the service of industrial development, ensuring that every battery is analyzed, understood, and designed to last — supporting a fair and sustainable energy transition.
